The new year has come, and it’s time to change your profile photo–or post a new one! As for our annual tradition, we went to a selfie studio in Bangkok for a nice family portrait.

We tried Stay Studio in Bangkok for their 20-minute basic package, which gave us complete control of our poses and using their available props. We got digital copies of all our photos and chose at least 3 for printed copies.
It was a fun experience for our little family. We thought there would be lull moments or that we’d run out of “poses,” but it went by quickly because we were enjoying ourselves. Even our 6-year-old son enjoyed taking his own selfies!
Tips to make the most of your selfie studio session
1. Decide on a theme. Stay Studio has seasonal backgrounds you can choose from, so you can also coordinate your outfit and theme of your self-portrait session.
2. Research on poses. It was helpful for us to look at family portrait ideas in Pinterest so we don’t do the same looks in every frame. You can take so many photos in 20 minutes, so it’s much better to add variety to your looks. Props are also available for an element of fun.
3. Have fun. The best photos are the candid ones. Be yourself and enjoy!
